Biography

Rafig Babayev is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. 
He has been supervised by Prof. Bengt Johansson since 2016. Rafig’s main scientific interest is investigation of the combustion engine performance, efficiency, and emissions with the aid of experimental and computational studies. His most recent project is the use of the isobaric combustion concept in combination with a split-cycle engine to achieve remarkable values in brake efficiency. 
Furthermore, Rafig did several internships in different technical fields, and participated in a number of social activities, including the Student Ambassador Program, and the CCRC Student Advisory Board, which he is currently a member of.
