Biography
Eshan Singh received his education in Mechanical Engineering from India. He later joined Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – Indian Institute of Petroleum as a Trainee Scientist, where he received his Masters degree in Advanced Automotive Technology. He joined Clean Combustion Research Center at KAUST as a Ph.D. student to work in fuel-engine interaction. Major research topics have been related to utilizing bio-based fuels in spark-ignited engines, chemical kinetics of Octane numbers and fuel sensitivity, and the problem of pre-ignition and super-knock in modern turbocharged gasoline engines. He has shown several successful strategies to prevent pre-ignition events, while minimizing the changes in gasoline/lubricant composition.
